Rapid K2 deployment aided Western executives in summit meeting and site visit with high ranking officials from one of China’s five state-owned power generation companies, China Power Investment (CPI).
Evergreen Energy Inc. hired K2 as cultural advisor to their top management in preparation for a visit from Madame Zhang Xiaolu, Vice President of International Business at CPI, and her delegation. Kelly Westgard flew with Evergreen President & CEO to the proprietary coal refining plant in Wyoming with the China Power delegation. She interpreted and provided key insight helping both sides reach clearer understanding. Clearly adding value, Kelly was asked to remain with the CEO and delegation throughout the remainder of the day's activities, returning on the corporate jet to Denver, aiding Evergreen in discussions and in hosting dinner. She helped plan the protocols for the next day's formal signing of an Agreement to Proceed, which marked an important business milestone for Evergreen.
